Dr. Mohamad Ali Akhaee
Mohammad Ali Akhaee grew up in Tehran, Iran. He received dual BSc degree in Electrical Engineering (Electronic and Communication divisions) in 2003 from AmirKabir University (Tehran Polytechnique) . He received MSc and Ph.D. degree in Communication Systems from Sharif University of Technology(2005, 2009). He has been a visiting scholar at Bogazici University . In 2010, He has been a post-doc researcher at the University of Sydney where he worked in CarLab. He joined the faculty of the college of Eng., the University of Tehran in 2011. He is currently the assistant professor at the University of Tehran and director of Secure Communication laboratory (SCLab). Dr. Akhaee’s research interests lie in the area of signal processing especially multimedia security, watermarking and statistical signal processing. He has performed several industrial projects/consultant in the hardware security, image processing, and network monitoring. His research has been funded by Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) to establish the center of excellence in Data Hiding. He has been the recipient of distinguished student award in 2003 from Tehran Polytechnique and Endeavour Research Fellowship award from Australian government (Ministry of Tertiary Education, Skills, Jobs, and Workplace Relations) in 2011. He has won the best workshop award from ISCISC11 Conference held in Tehran, Iran. Dr. Akhaee is the reviewer of several journal papers including IEEE Trans. on Information Forensics and Security, Image Processing, Multimedia, IET Image processing, etc and TPC of many conferences such as EUSIPCO, ICEE, ISCISC, etc.
Saeed Sarreshtedari was born in Qazvin, Iran, in April 1985. He was graduated from the national organization for development of the exceptional talents (NODET) high school in 2003, and entered the Sharif university of technology to study the electrical engineering, after being ranked 61 at the national University entrance exam (Konkoor) . He received the B.Sc degree in electrical engineering in 2007, and M.Sc degree in communications security (cryptography) in 2009, from Sharif University of technology. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in telecommunications systems at University of Tehran, Iran. His research interests include multimedia security, information hiding, watermarking, radar and array processing, and speech, image and video processing. The results of his researches are published as six international conference papers, two IEEE transactions and two other high impact journal papers, so far.
Hossein Lolaee was born February 11, 1991, in Gorgan, Iran. He was admitted to ECE department of University of Tehran, Iran in 2009. He was ranked top 5% of electrical engineering students, class of 2009. He received the B.Sc degree in electrical engineering and exceptional talent award for M.Sc degree at the University of Tehran in 2012. Then He joined the Secure Communication laboratory (SCL Lab) and worked on the localization of sound sources. He finished the M.Sc degree in Communications Systems and received the award for highest ranked students of ECE department in 2014. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in Communications Systems in the SCL Lab. The Title of Hossein's B.Sc and M.Sc thesis were “Extracting 3-D Model of Objects from 2-D Image Sequences” and “Microphone Array Signal Processing: Localization of Sound Source under High Reverberation”, respectively. His research interests include Deep learning applications in multimedia security and Big Data, Internet of things, Radar, Sonar and Microphone array signal processing and Cellular systems networking.
Habib Yajam has been researcher in University Tehran since 2015 in SCL. He had worked as a research assistant in Electronics Research Center of Sharif University of Technology after he had graduated his MSc degree from that university in Telecommunication Engineering, Cryptography. He considers his deep interest in Digital Privacy a major motive force for all of his research works. His research background mostly concentrates on Privacy-Preserving Protocols, Anonymous Communications, and Text-Steganography.
Ali Moharrami was born in Tehran and grew up in Germany before school age. After returning to Iran He went to Rouzbeh School and got his high school diploma in field of Mathematics and physics. In 2009 he was certified in entrance exam for Bachelor of Science at University of Tehran. At the same time he started working as system programmer and malware analyzer in Padvish-AntiVirus Company. In 2014 he got his Engineering degree in field of Information Technology and started working as Network security researcher and programmer in Router Lab at University of Tehran. In 2015 he entered MBA course in University of Science and Culture and since then he cooperate with Secure Communication Lab as researcher, project manager and lead developer of Traffic Analysis and Identification Project to develop a State of the Art Product in network security industry. His field of interest is computer networks, information security and new product development.
Ramin Toosi was born in Minudasht, Golestan, Iran. He was graduated from the NODET high school in 2010. He received the BSc degree in Electrical Engineering (Communication System division) from Shahid Beheshti University in 2014. His BSc thesis was about text detection in natural images. Now, he is MSc student of Communication System in the University of Tehran. Currently, he is working on the methods for combination of classifiers based on information theoretic models. Also he is working on the classification methods which is used in the Steganography researches. His field of interest includes Signal Processing, Multimedia Security, Pattern Recognition, and Information Theory.
Seyed Amin Habibi was born in Tehran, Iran in September 1992. He received the B.Sc. degree in digital systems engineering from University of Tehran in April 2013. His B.Sc. project was on the implementation of AES algorithm on FPGAs. Currently, he is M.Sc. student of Secure Communication Field in the University of Tehran. He works on the evaluation of side channel attacks on symmetric cryptography algorithms. His research interests lie in the area of Hardware Security, implementation of Arithmetic circuits, Network Security, and Signal Processing. Till now one paper in Microelectronics Reliability journal has been published by him.
Banafsheh Heydari grew up in Delijan, Markazi, Iran. She received B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Communication from the University of Tehran in 2015. Her B.Sc. The project was on “Secure Routing Protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks”. She is currently a Master of Science student in Communication Security at the University of Tehran and works as a researcher on “Network Traffic Analysis for Botnet Detection” as her M.Sc. Thesis under supervision of Dr. Mohammad Ali Akhaee in SC-Lab. Banafsheh has a three month of work experience in Zaeim Industrial Electronics Co. as a summary internship. Banafsheh Heydari 's research interest lies in the domain of network security, digital forensics a pattern recognition.
Najme Sadat Mousavi
Najme Sadat Mousavi grew up in Shiraz, Iran. She received B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics from Shiraz University of Technology in 2015. She is currently a Master of Science student in Communication Security at University of Tehran and works as a researcher on “Improvement on Image Steganalysis” as her M.Sc. Thesis under supervision of Dr. Mohammad Ali Akhaee in SC-Lab. Her research interest lies in the area of network security, signal processing and pattern recognition.
Amir Ajorlou was born in Tehran, Iran, in August 1991. He was graduated from the Allameh Tabatabaei High school. He won a silver medal in the National Math Olympiad of Iran and became a member of National Elites Foundation of his country. He received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering, communication from the University of Tehran in 2014 and his project was on “Studying on Effects of Different Parameters on Antenna Array Beamforming”. He is now M.Sc. student at the University of Tehran and works on “Audio Recording Location Identification Using Microphone Array” as his thesis under supervision of Dr.Mohammad Ali Akhaee in SC-Lab. Amir’s fields of interest are information security, audio forensics, signal processing, antenna array beamforming and number theory.
Ali Sattari was graduated from the (NODET) high school in 2009, and entered the University of Tehran and received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering in 2013 and his B.Ss thesis was Analysis of Sampling Rate Effect and Calculations in the I-Q Systems. He is now M.Sc. student and works at his thesis under supervision of Dr. Akhaee in security of communication systems at University of Tehran. His research interest is communication security, network security and signal processing. He is working on the methods of audio watermarking through the VoIP channels in his thesis and has interest in security related fields such as information hiding and cryptography.
MilaD Ghalejughi was born in Urmia, Iran, in November 1990. He was graduated from high school in 2009. He was accepted at the national University entrance exam. He received the B.Sc degree in electrical engineering in 2013. He is currently pursuing his M.Sc degree under supervision of Dr. Akhaee in communications systems at University of Tehran, Iran. His research interests include multimedia security, image processing, network security, multiresolution watermarking, information hiding, signal processing, original content video protection and detection.
Younes Karimi Ahmadabadi
Younes Karimi Ahmadabadi was born in Tehran. He was graduated from the Mofid Vanak high school in 2012 and entered the University of Tehran after passing the national university entrance exam (Konkoor) and started his studies in electrical engineering. He nominated as the IEEE University of Tehran Student Branch Vice Chairman in 2014 and 2015 and cooperated in the holding of many university conferences and exhibitions. In 2015, he worked on smart home implementations and home automation as an academic internship under the supervision of Dr. Behrouz Maham and started his research activities in Secure Communication Lab by traffic analysis. He is working on the methods of password generation, text steganography and watermarking under the supervision of Dr. Akhaee now. His fields of interest are computer networks, cryptography, image processing, information security and software development.
